Farm History

A brief history of our farm to start- Mongolia Farm as we call it, was built in 1860 by Daniel. G Hoover (Stonemason) son of Samuel Hoover and Elizabeth Grove. Daniel and his wife Sarah Burkholder are buried at Wideman Mennonite Cemetery (died 1881 and 1909).

The property is still showing us hidden gems throughout the years such as all the beautiful wildflowers we have identified and discovered, the beautiful fruit trees such as pears, and sour cherries and two very large black walnut trees.
